DISCOVER EL ROMPIDO, CARTAYA AND HUELVA

A tongue of unspoilt, sandy land that follows the Piedras River looking for the sea in front of a scenic fishing village with two lighthouses and an exceptional natural landscape. This is El Rompido, in the municipality of Cartaya, Huelva, in the natural area of the Piedras River marshlands and Flecha del Rompido.

It is a landscape labyrinth that will make you vibrate with excitement.

EL ROMPIDO, A PARADISE IN CARTAYA (HUELVA)

El Rompido is a traditional fishing village with lovely narrow streets, restaurants and tapas bars where you can enjoy spectacular sunsets and taste the wonderful local cuisine: fresh fish, Huelva prawns and other seafood, Jabugo ham, cheese from the mountains, bushmeat, strawberries, etc.

It is so quiet and relaxed, that when you visit it you feel like going back in time.

Flecha del Rompido is a tongue of sand more than 10 km long, with moving dunes and continuously changing by the active influence of the tides.  It is one of the last unspoilt landscapes of the Spanish coast.

You will enjoy beaches like you have never seen before. Access La Flecha. If you stay at Precise Golf Resort El Rompido, you can use the combined train and boat available to guests. Or, if you are looking for a bit of solitude, you can book a fishing boat.

SPORT, HIKING AND MORE IN CARTAYA (HUELVA)

El Rompido is one of the best spots in Huelva and, in general, in Andalusia to find light and sunshine. With its harbour, sports club, riding club and golf club, it is the perfect place to enjoy sailing, diving, windsurfing, kite surfing, trekking, horses and above all the game of golf.

In the surroundings of El Rompido, you will also find the Aquopolis Cartaya water park and the Cartaya Karting race track, where you can enjoy an unforgettable family day out.

Alternatively, you can lose yourself in the impressive landscape, walking and bird watching in the protected unspoilt marshes with breathtaking views of the Atlantic. To access the Natural Area of the Piedras River marshlands and Flecha de El Rompido, you must follow a small path from the lighthouse towards Caño del Tendal to the Pradera de San Isidro.
