Peugeot Golf Guide 2008/2009: Europe's top 1,000 courses.

Recognised as the "Michelin Guide" of Europe's golf courses, it has awarded the north course of golf el rompido a score of 17 out of 20, placing it 9th in the Spanish ranking.

"the South course of this young complex soon became renowned for the delightful setting within which it unfolds, but this North course is a monument to modern golf: intelligent, natural and entertaining. The course is neither too long nor too narrow; exactly what is needed in order to stretch yourself and to have to measure the flight and direction of the ball. You have to play at different heights and trace various strokes, but the course is neither alarming nor overwhelming; only the gravest of errors are lost in its wetlands, just a few kilometres from the Ermita del Rocío. It is modern golf because it combines power with precision; it is intelligent because it forces you to think about your strokes; it is natural because the course blends into the beauty of its natural surroundings and because the course requires no stroke that could be deemed unreasonable.

It also has some very interesting medium-sized greens both for receiving the ball and for putting. The skilled golfer will enjoy calling upon all their resources and those with high handicaps will enjoy a good, modern course with a traditional appearance... albeit at the cost of several balls.
